Hi,

Welcome to The Big City Sleepout on 16th December 2019.

Thank you for showing interest in braving the winter cold and raise funds for young homeless people in Brighton & Hove. The Clock Tower Sanctuary has been open for 21 years, helping 16-25 year olds who are homeless or insecurely housed. Over the winter period they will have upwards of 1,000 visits to their centre for cups of hot tea, a chance to dry out soggy sleeping bags and get warm.

The money you will raise from one chilly night sleeping out on the i360 terrace will allow them to help get more young people on the road from crisis to stability. For more information about The Clock Tower Sanctuary, check out their website: www.thects.org.uk

To register for the event please email lorna@thects.org.uk as soon as possible! Registration closes on 6 December 2019.

For the all-important fundraising, please set up a Just giving page using the following link:
https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/BigCitySleepout2019

We are asking attendees for a fundraising pledge of £300 but of course CTS are always happy to receive more! Once you’ve set up your page, share it far and wide on your social media channels – it’s always a good idea to include a personal story and a picture which will resonate with your friends and family.

Also please take pictures on the night and tag CTS in. It is great for the public to see how generous of spirit our supporters are!

Julian, the event creator, said “Since volunteering at a Victoria station soup kitchen for the homeless as a teenager, I have wanted to help. Rough sleeping is visibly increasing in Brighton & Hove, the Clock Tower Sanctuary offer the young homeless a route off the streets and back onto their feet. The Big City Sleepout is an opportunity to show our community spirit and to raise much needed funds at a time of year when most of us are warm at home.”

Thank you again for being a Big City Sleepout Super Star!
